Scroll.in’s video and trends feed collects the best of what the internet has to offer when it comes to videos, social media reactions, all things 'viral' and aims to add context or insight about them.

The team of writers who work on the feed act as a filter for the audience, separating the wheat from the chaff and telling readers what they should be watching and why.

As we expand our team, we are looking for a talented journalist with strong writing capabilities, sound editorial judgement and a demonstrable familiarity with pop and web culture.

The candidate will be expected to:

1. Write quick, clean and balanced copies.

2. Be aware of social media platforms and their potential as both sources of stories as well as distribution forums.

3. Be able to add context and insight to videos about a range of subjects, from 4chan to foreign policy.

A candidate should have:

1. A bachelor's degree in journalism from a reputed college, or an equivalent educational qualification.

2. Impeccable analytical skills.

3. A general grasp of a cross-section of news — such as politics, business, international affairs etc.

4. A strong eye for quality video.
